MARY

MARY

God did not need to use Mary to bring the Second Person of the Holy Trinity onto this earth…BUT HE DID!
God The Father said to Jesus as recorded in the Psalm:
“The Lord said to my Lord…from the womb before the day star
I begot Thee (Ps 109:1-3).
The ‘womb’ is the womb of Mary!

Mary is always:-
The Daughter of God the Father (Lk 1:30).
The Mother of God the Son (Lk 1:43).
The Spouse of God the Holy Ghost (Lk 1:35).

Jesus foretold the unbelief of man about Himself and His Mother:
“If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they believe, if one rise again from the dead” (Lk 16:31).
So many do not believe in the apparitions of Mary.

The Perpetual Virginity of Mary.
There are those who want to crush the truth of the perpetual virginity of Mary, but: “The Lord Himself shall give you a sign. Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son and His Name shall be called Emmanuel” (Is 7:14).

If a woman conceives in the natural manner, she is no longer a virgin. Since God does not and cannot lie, there must be some extraordinary way in which ‘a virgin shall conceive and bear a Son’ and remain a virgin in the year 1 BC, as was the case of Mary, the only daughter of Anna and Joachim.

Saint Luke gives us the answer: “…Fear not, Mary, for thou have found grace with God. Behold thou shall conceive in thy womb and shall bring forth a Son: and thou shall call His Name Jesus.” And Mary said to the angel: ‘How shall this be done, because I know not man?’ And the angel answering, said to her: ‘The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee and the power of the Most High shall overshadow thee. And therefore also the Holy which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God’” (Lk 1:26-35).

First of all Mary knew how a woman conceives a child, because she said: ‘I know not man.’
Second of all when she asks: ‘How shall this be done?’ She is saying that she along with her betrothed Joseph had agreed to perpetual virginity, and Joseph is called a ‘just man.’ This is asserted in the Gospel of Saint Matthew: “Now the generation of Christ was in this wise. When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph,
before they came together, she was found with child, of the Holy Ghost. Whereupon Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing publicly to expose her, was minded to put her away privately. But while he thought
on these things, behold the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in his sleep, saying: ‘Joseph, son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for that which is conceived in her, is of the Holy Ghost, and she shall bring forth a Son: and thou shall call His Name Jesus…’” (Mt 1:18-21).

Jesus Christ is the Church, “…Christ is the head of the Church. He is the saviour of His Body” (Ep 5:23). The Church is ‘virgin,’ free from all contamination of man, and must remain virgin, pure, holy and immaculate. It follows that the Mother of the Church must be virgin, pure, holy and immaculate. Since Christ is the Head of the Church, and Mary is His Mother, it follows that Mary is the Mother of the Church. Those who deny this basic truth are not Christians. Those who deny this truth are antichrists. No matter how great is their number, they are antichrists ‘and the gates of hell shall not prevail against’ the Church.
