Sede Vacante – the Chair is vacant? This statement is ridiculous and those promoting this falsehood are certainly not Catholic!

“Every kingdom divided against itself shall be made desolate: and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand” (Mt 12:25). The number of divisions among the Catholic community is appalling. Forget about the approximate 30,000 protest-ant churches who call themselves ‘christian’ and deny the Real Presence of Jesus in Holy Eucharist. Look at the various so-called Catholic churches who deny the succession of Peter. I speak particularly of the Sedevacantists and the SSPX and the Latin Traditionalists and their ‘right of succession’ to name a few. I wish to prove to you that there has never been a vacancy to the Chair in the 20th and 21st centuries. In the year 1139 St. Malachy was given a prophecy by Jesus of the final 111 popes plus one more. The 111 popes were identified by a symbol of their coat of arms, or birth place or some other identification such as: ‘De labore solis’ which referred to Pope John Paul II from the Communist persecuted Poland; then ‘Gloria olivae’ which is Pope Benedict XVI.

Then in the only comment St. Malachy gives the last entry of popes: “In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church will reign Petrus Romanus who shall feed his flock among great tribulation, after which the seven hilled city shalt be destroyed.” None of the other popes were given a comment, only Petrus Romanus. Since these popes were given to St. Malachy by Jesus Christ, who is man to say that the Seat of Peter is vacant? How dare they say so! Jesus confirms them as popes! But He never mentions Bergoglio. Think about it!

One more point. Pope Pius X in 1909, in the midst of an audience with members of the Franciscan order, he seemed to fall into a trance. Moments passed, then his eyes sprung open and he jumped to his feet and said: “What I have seen is terrifying! Will I be the one, or will it be a successor? What is certain is that the Pope will leave Rome and, in leaving the Vatican, he will have to pass over the dead bodies of his priests!” Shortly before his death in 1914, another vision came to him: “I have seen one of my successors, of the same name, who was fleeing over the bodies of his brethren. He will take refuge in some hiding place; but after a brief respite, he will die a cruel death. Respect for God has disappeared from human hearts. They wish to efface even God’s memory. This perversity is nothing less than the beginning of the last days of the world.” How dare anyone who claims to be Catholic say that the ‘chair is vacant’ when Pope St. Pius X named a pope by his own name to be in peril!

No pope has had to flee the Vatican since that vision. Pope Pius X birth name was Giuseppe Sarto, that is Joseph Sarto. Pope Benedict XVI birth name is Joseph Ratzinger, that is Giuseppe Ratzinger. Pope Benedict XVI is reported to be in enforced seclusion by the forces of Bergoglio (see 19 June 2020). Is he? I personally doubt it, but his health is very fragile – we pray for him. Saint Pius X named a pope by his own name (Giuseppe/Joseph), how then can anyone say that the chair is vacant. Pope Benedict never resigned ‘the Chair of Peter,’ he is still pope!
